The latest salary statistics from the Ministry of Labor indicate that in 2024, entry-level personnel—defined as recent graduates—will see 91.2% of them holding at least a bachelor’s degree, with 19.5% having completed graduate studies. The top three industries for these individuals are manufacturing, wholesale and retail, and healthcare and social work services.

The average salary for entry-level employees in 2024 is reported at NT$37,000, reflecting an annual increase of 6.4%. Graduates with a bachelor's degree earn an average of NT$34,000, while those with a graduate degree average NT$52,000. The median salary is NT$33,000 for both bachelor's and associate degree holders, and NT$49,000 for those with a graduate degree.

Notably, women's average salary is 91.3% of that of men, indicating a gender wage gap of 8.7%. Across different education levels, the gap is less than 1.3%, except for the graduate level where it reaches 11.8%.

Additionally, 18.7% of new hires began with the minimum wage of NT$27,470, a decrease compared to last year. Overall, the salary situation for new entrants appears to be improving compared to the previous year, indicating a dynamic labor market.
