TSMC Surges 24 TWD to Close at 888 TWD! MediaTek and Quanta Also Rise as Taiwan Stocks Gain 393 Points
Due to a temporary easing of the U.S.-China tariff war, U.S. stocks have risen continuously, boosting Taiwan's stock market today (25th).
TSMC briefly surpassed the 900 TWD mark during trading and closed at 888 TWD, up 24 TWD. MediaTek rose by 3%, closing at 1380 TWD, while Quanta increased by 2%, ending at 235 TWD.
The weighted index closed at 19872.73 points, up 393.92 points, marking a 2.02% gain, with a trading volume of 287.5 billion TWD. The market successfully ascended above the monthly average line, approximately 19745 points.
