TSMC Establishes Factory in Arizona! Government Plans Large Science Park to Boost Taiwanese Investment

Taiwan's semiconductor giant TSMC has decided to establish a new factory in Arizona, USA, and increase its investment amount to $165 billion, generating substantial supply chain business opportunities. In response, the local government plans to develop a 930-hectare science park near the factory to attract more investments. During a promotional event organized by the Arizona Taipei Economic and Cultural Office, real estate developers reported that recently, 3 to 4 groups of Taiwanese businesses come for consultations every day.
The government's plan for a science park supports Taiwanese business development, as Taiwan's enterprises are gradually changing their roles in the international market; formerly they were subcontractors, and now they are being invited to invest abroad, signifying a new beginning for Taiwan's globalization. Arizona has ample undeveloped land and stable power supply, with the government planning to establish a science park in North Phoenix, hoping to replicate Taiwan's success experience.
