Chunghwa Investment Company (2323) has announced that it acquired Quanta Computer (2454) common stock, with the transaction taking place from April 11 to April 22, totaling 1,512,000 shares at a price of NT$225.52 per share, amounting to NT$340.99639 million.

According to Chunghwa's Financial Department Assistant Manager, Chen Junwei, the purpose of this acquisition is to optimize their investment portfolio and is not a related party transaction, hence does not require Board approval. Currently, Chunghwa holds 1,971,000 shares of Quanta Computer, representing an ownership percentage of 0.051%.

Additionally, based on the latest financial reports, the company’s investment in securities constitutes 72.97% of total assets, showing the significance of its asset management. Chunghwa's operational capital stands at NT$7.4423 billion, indicating good cash management capabilities.

Chunghwa emphasizes that this transaction has received no objections from directors and aims to optimize its investment portfolio structure to achieve long-term capital gains. The company will continue to monitor market trends for timely asset allocation adjustments in line with overall operational strategies.
