Acer Game Subsidiary Issuing New Shares to Make Employees Shareholders

Acer's gaming subsidiary, Winking Studios Limited, has announced the board's decision to issue restricted rights new shares to employees at a price of SGD 0, totaling 1,950,000 shares with a nominal value of SGD 0.04 per share, amounting to SGD 78,000.
This plan will be implemented in three phases starting from 2026, where employees must meet performance evaluation criteria and service length. The first phase will allocate 33.33% of the shares, the second phase will follow in 2027 with another 33.33%, and the final phase in 2028 for the remaining 33.34%. If any misconduct, resignation, or company liquidation occurs prior to the allocation, the employee will forfeit their eligibility. The main purpose of this initiative is to attract and retain talent while boosting employee morale and sharing in the company’s success. It is estimated that if all conditions are met, the maximum expense could reach SGD 487,500, to be recognized from 2025 to 2031.
