MediaTek Reports Q1 Revenue of NT$153.31 Billion, Highest in 11 Quarters, Partners with NVIDIA for Supercomputer

MediaTek (2454) is set to announce its Q1 earnings and Q2 operational outlook on April 30 during the golden week of earnings reports. Q1 revenue reached NT$153.31 billion, marking the highest figure in 11 quarters.

Additionally, MediaTek has partnered with NVIDIA to develop the GB10 supercomputer chip, with expected shipments up to 2 million units this year. MediaTek has been generous to shareholders by distributing NT$16 in cash dividends annually from 2021 to 2024.

Compared to the same period last year, MediaTek's Q1 revenue grew by about 15%, exceeding the previous forecast of NT$140.8 billion to NT$151.8 billion. This growth was attributed to the benefits of China’s subsidy policy and early orders from customers. However, Q2 may see continued orders from clients, but demand at the end market may decline due to tariff impacts.

CEO Cai Lixing stressed during the COMPUTEX event that MediaTek aims to dominate the AI computing sector, focusing on AI accelerators from edge AI to cloud AI to strengthen their market presence.
