Baking Course Supports Vulnerable Communities with Charity Sale Donations to Family Support Center

After completing their training, students from the Ministry of Labor's baking class held a charity event called the 'Loving Bakers Exhibition and Charity Sale', donating all proceeds to the Family Support Center in Southern Tainan. These students transformed their learned skills into social care, assisting the unemployed and job-seekers in developing vocational skills to enhance their employment and entrepreneurial competitiveness.
This year, the Labor Force Development Agency of the Ministry of Labor entrusted the Tainan City Tourism Association to run a 'Competency-Oriented Course - Baking Handmade Pastries, Cakes, and Cookies,' which is designed to strengthen practical capabilities from a zero baseline. Last year's bread baking course received excellent feedback, raising 30,413 TWD through its charity sale as a testament to the learning outcomes.
This course not only offers a completion certificate but also provides an iCAP certification for those who pass assessments, greatly benefiting their future job prospects. The 2024 baking course runs from June 23 to August 29, with the application deadline set for June 12 at 5 p.m.
