Chiayi City Launches Youth Entrepreneurship Competition with Up to NT$900,000 in Grants
The Chiayi City Government, in collaboration with the Chinese Entrepreneurs Incubation Association, is hosting the 20th National Innovative Entrepreneurship Competition, featuring a total prize pool of NT$3.8 million. This marks the fifth consecutive year of the city's youth entrepreneurship incentive program aimed at attracting young innovators from across Taiwan to establish businesses in Chiayi.
The city government offers a maximum of NT$900,000 in non-repayable grants for selected proposal teams. Director of the Construction Bureau, Tian Chang-Pei, reported that 45 successful teams have already been supported, generating over NT$500 million in economic value.
The competition includes categories for 'Innovative Ideas' and 'Local Entrepreneurship in Chiayi' to encourage young people to choose Chiayi as their startup base.
