German Firm MVTec Suing Largan: Chairman Lin En-Ping Responds with Mockery

The German company MVTec sent representatives to Taiwan to file a lawsuit against Largan regarding illegal software cracking. Chairman Lin En-Ping harshly criticized MVTec during the shareholders' meeting, labeling the company as non-proper and suggesting they would be blacklisted.

Founded in 1996, MVTec Software GmbH focuses on industrial image processing technology, with its flagship product being the HALCON software used in sectors such as semiconductors and automotive lenses. It has strict licensing rules, linking each software license to specific devices to prevent piracy.

Since taking leadership in 2010, Lin En-Ping has significantly improved Largan's business performance and stock prices, but this lawsuit marks the first time Largan has been accused of copyright infringement, drawing significant attention. Additionally, MVTec established a subsidiary in Taiwan last year to continue this legal battle against Largan.
