Youth Employment Upgrade Program Helps Over 1900 Achieve Stable Jobs

The Ministry of Labor has launched a youth employment upgrade program titled "Hire First, Train Later," aiding over 1900 young individuals to secure stable employment in the year 113. This program provides subsidies to companies to offer workplace mentors, enhancing youth skills through hands-on experience.
In the upcoming year 114, companies such as Jin Feng Machinery and Zhong Liang Industrial will participate, offering diverse positions in manufacturing, technology, and pharmaceuticals. For example, Li Jiahui, who has a master's degree from National Taiwan Ocean University, struggled to find employment due to a lack of practical experience. Through the assistance of the Ministry and the employment program, he was hired by Ruiqi Technology and received on-the-job training, now succeeding as an independent CAD engineer with a salary reaching 45,000 TWD.
The program is specifically designed for youth aged 15 to 29, offering up to six months of corporate subsidies to facilitate their rapid integration into the workplace and build practical skills. A total of 730 companies participated in year 113, with more expected to join in year 114. Young people interested in skill development or a career change should not hesitate to start from scratch by joining this program.
