ezTravel Report 2024: Surge in Demand for Travel to Korea, Best Booking Days Revealed

According to ezTravel's report, trends in beauty and food appeal are drawing young travelers, solidifying Korea as a rapidly growing travel destination. Post-pandemic, ezTravel anticipates a record year in 2024, with personal ticket sales surpassing 2.5 million segments and global accommodation revenue exceeding NT$6 billion.
The report highlights that five of the top ten popular travel destinations are in Korea, indicating a significant interest among consumers. Furthermore, it reveals that the best days to book flights are Wednesdays.
As consumer behavior shifts from revenge spending to more strategic spending, the average number of outbound trips made by Taiwanese travelers is expected to reach 2.1 this year, but the annual expenditure has decreased by nearly NT$4,000, showing increased price sensitivity.
ezTravel's general manager Chen Chih-Hao states that they will continue to leverage data analysis to understand travel trends and deepen the demand for free travel.
