President Lai Ching-te: Stable Power Supply by 2032, Current Need for Green Energy

President Lai Ching-te attended a forum with New Taipei industry operators today (2nd) regarding the U.S. tariff policy. He stated that Taiwan has completed its first negotiation and will continue discussions. He emphasized that stability in power supply is expected to be resolved by 2032, but what is currently lacking is green energy. The government is actively promoting various renewable energy projects including wind and solar power, with future emphasis on hydropower, geothermal, and hydrogen energy technologies.
