Regarding the protests by Taipower employees at the Ministry of Economic Affairs, Minister Guo Zhihui stated, "If you can't stand it, you can leave," which sparked discontent among workers. Today, Executive Yuan Premier Zhuo Rongtai said that Guo should quickly express more care for the partners among state-owned enterprise workers and that he would speak with Guo. He pointed out that this statement clearly triggered psychological discontent among workers. He urged the government to show greater concern for labor needs.
Recently, Taipower employees protested against the government's energy policy, and Guo Zhihui expressed his lack of understanding and interest in their demands. Legislator Lin Siming questioned the suitability of Guo's position, calling his remarks arrogant. Zhuo Rongtai responded by emphasizing that workers are the most precious asset of the country, deserving of respect, and stated that he had conveyed respect to workers recently.
