Joint Efforts with Intel Going Smoothly! Three Major Institutions Buy Over 120,000 Shares of UMC, NVIDIA Concept Stocks Soar with Rising Orders

The Taiwanese stock market fell by 460.87 points in April, closing at 20,235.03 points. According to post-market data from the stock exchange, the three major institutions reported a total net sell of NT$129.164 billion. However, in terms of net buying, UMC (2303) is collaborating with Intel (INTC) to develop a 12nm FinFET manufacturing technology platform, expected to complete its development and validation by 2026. The progress has been smooth, boosting optimistic views on business opportunities. In April, the three major institutions bought over 120,000 shares of UMC, totaling NT$5.57 billion.
NVIDIA-related stock Quanta (2382) saw its chairman mention at the "Human-Centric AI Era - Intercollegiate Roundtable Forum" that the orders for AI servers this year are expected to surpass last year’s figures. However, the future development remains cautious due to unclear U.S. tariffs. Notably, the three major institutions invested NT$7.88 billion to acquire 38,099 shares of Quanta in April.
