Corporate Governance Evaluation Results Released: 49 Companies in the Top 5%

The stock exchange announced the results of the corporate governance evaluation on April 30, with 49 listed companies making it into the top 5%. Notable inclusions are TSMC, UMC, Delta Electronics, Compal, Wistron, and Chunghwa Telecom.

Additionally, 146 listed companies ranked in the 6% to 20% category, including Asia Cement, Formosa Plastics, China Steel, ASUS, and Quanta. In the 21% to 35% bracket, there were 147 companies, such as Uni-President, HTC, Transcend, Yageo, and Evergreen.

Overall, 976 listed companies and 778 OTC companies participated, totaling 1,754 companies. The results are categorized into seven tiers based on scoring, allowing deeper understanding of each company's performance within its industry and peer group. The stock exchange plans to hold an award ceremony in June to honor the top-performing companies.
