Trump's Tariff Negotiations Update Revealed! US Treasury Secretary Says Discussions with Three Countries Progressing Smoothly, No Mention of Taiwan

US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent stated that negotiations with India, South Korea, and Japan are making good progress. The Trump administration proposed reciprocal tariffs as a negotiating tool to push other countries into more advantageous trade agreements, leading to significant drops in global stock markets, with the Taiwanese stock market plummeting over 2000 points, and US markets losing $6 trillion.
During a press conference, Bessent mentioned that the US is very close to reaching a trade agreement with India, citing Vice President Vance's recent visit there and a fruitful discussion with Prime Minister Modi. He also indicated outlines of agreements with South Korea are becoming clearer, and there have been close discussions with Japan.
However, he pointed out that non-tariff barriers are more complex and harder to detect. Throughout this process, there was no mention of Taiwan.
