Taiwan CPC: Gas Prices Unchanged Next Week, Diesel Up by NT$0.2

Taiwan's CPC Corporation announced that starting at midnight (28th), gasoline prices will remain unchanged while diesel prices will increase by NT$0.2. The reference retail prices are NT$28.3 per liter for 92 unleaded gasoline, NT$29.8 for 95 unleaded gasoline, NT$31.8 for 98 unleaded gasoline, and NT$27.1 for super diesel.
The CPC indicated that international crude oil prices have risen due to easing concerns about potential high tariffs imposed by the U.S. on major countries. According to the floating price adjustment principle, the 7D3B weekly average price increased by US$1.04, and the New Taiwan Dollar appreciated by NT$0.036 against the U.S. Dollar, with a gain of 1.15%. Based on these conditions, both gasoline and diesel should be increased by NT$0.2 per liter; however, to keep Taiwan's prices lower than those of neighboring Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore), gasoline prices remain unchanged.
