Taiwan Stock Market Enters Super Dividend Week with 52 ETFs Declaring Dividends

The stock market rose last week, but many investors took the opportunity to cash out, resulting in about 50,000 fewer ETF investors. However, this week is June's super dividend week, with data from CMoney indicating that a total of 52 equity and bond ETFs will declare dividends. Notably, the annualized dividend yield for Taiwanese stock ETFs exceeds 9%, while bond ETFs exceed 7%.
During this period, four Taiwanese stock ETFs have an annualized dividend yield of over 10%, and their popularity has risen, with investor growth rates ranging from 1% to 4%. The Yuanta Taiwan Selected High Dividend ETF (00919) boasts the highest annualized dividend yield of 12.81%, with investor numbers growing by 3.61%. Other standout ETFs include the Dahua Optimal High Yield 30 (00918), the Cathay Green Energy and Electric Vehicle ETF (00896), and the First Gold Industrial 30 (00728).
The fund manager of First Gold Industrial 30, Tseng Wan-sheng, pointed out that the Taiwanese stock market currently lags behind the U.S. market. The period from June to August is expected to be peak season for shareholder meetings and dividend distributions, which will continue to attract investment in high-dividend stocks and policy beneficiaries within industries and infrastructure.
In the bond ETF sector, five funds have annualized dividend yields exceeding 7%, with significant interest from investors. The First Gold Optimal Non-Investment Grade Bond ETF (00981B) has seen a remarkable investor growth rate of 16.24%. Manager Wang Xin-yu suggests that in light of the current geopolitical risks, it is wise to allocate to lower-volatility, steady-yield bond ETFs.
