Workplace Salary Challenges: Tea Bag Manufacturer Faces Job Change Consideration

As the Ministry of Labor plans to convene the "Minimum Wage Review Committee" in the third quarter, there is speculation that the minimum wage may increase by about 3% next year. However, 66% of employees are facing a bleak outlook with no hope for salary increases. Mr. Shen, a production leader at a tea bag manufacturing company, is approaching his five-year anniversary with a monthly salary stuck at 45,000 NT dollars, noting that the company is unwilling to raise salaries and that the evaluation system seems to be merely a formality. He is seriously considering a job change in search of a fairer workplace.
According to a survey by 1111 Job Bank, 91.3% of employees are dissatisfied with their current wages, and 66.7% believe they will have no salary increase this year. The most pressing issues regarding salary structure highlighted include companies making profits but refusing to raise wages, low frequency of raises, and opacity in salary negotiations based on job roles. Employees who are denied raises often consider job changes or adopt a more passive work attitude.
