Chiayi City Launches NT$3.8 Million Prize to Build Youth Entrepreneurship Hub in Taiwan

In a bid to support youth entrepreneurship, Chiayi City Mayor Huang Ming-hui has launched the "Chiayi City Youth Entrepreneurship Incentive Program" for the fifth consecutive year. This year, Chiayi City collaborates with the Chinese Entrepreneurial Incubation Association to hold the "20th National Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition," offering a total prize of NT$3.8 million. The application period is from now until May 13, 2025.
At the City Vision Hall, Mayor Huang personally supported the event and enthusiastically called on aspiring young entrepreneurs to participate, asserting that Chiayi City is a happy city suitable for "experimenting, practicing, and realizing" ideas.
Mayor Huang emphasized Chiayi's commitment to youth entrepreneurship, showcasing the determination and capability of the city. This year's competition is divided into the "Innovation and Creativity Group" and the "Local Entrepreneurship Group of Chiayi City," with a new category called "Health Sustainability" added this year to tackle environmental challenges.
During the press conference, participants shared their entrepreneurial journeys and insights, highlighting how the city government’s resources have significantly aided them. Additionally, the city government plans to provide subsidies of up to NT$900,000 for each project to accelerate the growth of these youth entrepreneurial teams.
