Attention Workers! 4 Labor Unions in Arrears on Insurance Premiums, Labor Insurance Bureau Issues Warning Against Further Payments

The Labor Insurance Bureau has announced that as of May 19, four labor unions have failed to pay labor insurance and occupational accident insurance premiums, and have entered a legal execution phase for non-compliance. Workers are reminded not to make additional payments to these unions.

The unions in question include the 'Taipei City Hair Beauty Technical Instructors Union', 'Taipei City Bar Association', 'Taoyuan City Rental Management Service Workers Union', and 'Greater Tainan Religious Services Union'. The Labor Insurance Bureau states that if a union accumulates unpaid insurance premiums for two months, it cannot continue to collect advance premiums from its members.

Furthermore, if the dues were misappropriated unlawfully, the Labor Insurance Bureau will refer the case to investigation units. Should members provide proof of having paid their dues, the bureau will ensure appropriate insurance benefits are issued.
