Charming Chiayi City Hosts Largest Job Fair with Over 800 Positions Available

The Ministry of Labor organized the "Digital Sustainability, Salary in Chiayi" job fair at the Nice Prince Hotel, gathering 31 companies that offered over 800 job vacancies, making it the largest job fair in Chiayi City this year. According to Chiayi Employment Center Director Li Chi-wen, nearly 90% of full-time positions start with a monthly salary of NT$30,000, with semiconductor suppliers offering annual salaries of up to NT$700,000, while drone companies are seeking embedded system engineers with starting salaries of NT$60,000, attracting a large number of job seekers with an estimated application count exceeding one thousand.
This event aims to integrate employment opportunities across various industries such as technology, wholesale and retail, accommodation and food services, and manufacturing. It also provides 183 part-time positions for women looking to re-enter the workforce, addressing the need to balance family and work. Furthermore, in response to ESG sustainability initiatives, the recruitment process is paperless, leveraging LINE communication software that allows job seekers to browse job openings, fill out online resumes, schedule interviews, and inquire about interview progress, significantly saving time.
Additionally, the event features a ChatGPT career consulting area where participants can receive personalized advice through palmistry analysis, leading many attendees to express their amazement. Li noted that coinciding with the blooming of phoenix flowers during graduation season, the Ministry of Labor promotes a "Stable Employment Program for First-time Job Seekers," offering employment counseling and career guidance services. During their job search, participants can receive a monthly allowance of NT$5,000, with a maximum of NT$15,000 available. Young people who secure full-time employment and remain with the same employer for a set number of days can earn a maximum employment reward of NT$30,000, allowing them to collect a total of up to NT$45,000 when combining the job search allowance, encouraging eligible youth to apply actively.
