Taitung County Supports Underprivileged Youth with Internship Program Starting July with Salary of NT$30,000

Taitung County Government's Social Affairs Department has launched the 'Low-Income Second Generation Youth Internship Program' to help underprivileged youth break free from poverty. Starting on July 1 of this year, the program will provide 40 slots for youth aged 16 to 25 from economically disadvantaged families, offering a monthly salary of NT$30,000.
The internship positions will be available in public agencies, social welfare organizations, and community development associations within the county, covering diverse fields such as administration, social welfare, and community development. Through the program, participants will gain workplace experience and professional skills training.
County Mayor Rao Ching-ling stated that this internship program is not just a summer activity but a concrete effort by the government to help youth take stable steps into their lives. Many youths are limited by familial economic circumstances, and the county hopes to provide them with avenues to connect with society and find their career directions.
The program will also enable youths to learn essential administrative, communication, and teamwork skills that will have a profound impact on their academic and career development in the future. Furthermore, the county will continue to promote other poverty alleviation measures, forming a supportive network to assist more families in stabilizing their lives.
Youths meeting the eligibility criteria can apply from now until May 16. For detailed information about the participating employers and application details, please refer to the Taitung County Government Social Affairs Department official website or contact the relevant personnel.
