Warren Buffett Announces Retirement! Thanks Tim Cook for Boosting Berkshire's Wealth

The "Oracle of Omaha," Warren Buffett, announced his retirement on March 3, planning to step down as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway by the end of this year at the age of 94 during the annual shareholder meeting.

Buffett expressed his gratitude to Apple CEO Tim Cook, who posted a photo with Buffett on social media platform X, praising his wisdom and influence.

According to reports, Buffett recommended current Vice Chairman Greg Abel to succeed him, stating that the timing is right. He emphasized that he possesses over $160 billion in Berkshire assets and will not sell any stock after transitioning.

Buffett humorously stated that working with Abel would be easier than collaborating with himself and shared insights from his long-term investment in Coca-Cola. He thanked Cook for significantly benefiting Berkshire, noting that only Apple's founder Steve Jobs could create the company, but it was Cook who developed it into its current form.
