Kaohsiung Agricultural Products Make Inroads into Canada, Creating Millions in Business Opportunities

To expand the export market of Kaohsiung agricultural products, the Agricultural Bureau of Kaohsiung City recently visited Canada to negotiate with local supermarket chains regarding product listings and promotional activities, including tasting events and agricultural education. This initiative aims to create millions of dollars in business opportunities in the North American market.
The Agricultural Bureau has long cultivated the Canadian market, successfully promoting Kaohsiung's guavas, jujubes, and dragon fruits through sales activities and incentive programs, resulting in over a billion TWD in export value. They've successfully listed various Kaohsiung products, such as taro canned goods and organic jams, in major Canadian supermarkets, thus enhancing the visibility of these key products.
To familiarize the local population with the high quality of Kaohsiung fruits, tasting events are continuously held in supermarkets, demonstrating an effective marketing strategy that has significantly increased consumer willingness to purchase. The Agricultural Bureau aims to further expand its customer base by negotiating annual promotional activities through advertisements and tastings, targeting both the Chinese and Caucasian markets.
Additionally, the Bureau plans to replicate the success of agricultural education initiatives overseas and support local brands in enhancing their visibility. In response to recent U.S. tariff impacts on Kaohsiung edamame exports, the Bureau is actively promoting Kaohsiung's high-quality edamame in local markets, assisting vendors in expanding into Canada to mitigate operational pressures caused by these tariffs.
