Foreign Minister Lin Chia-lung recently discussed Taiwan-US cooperation in AI at a forum at National Taipei University of Technology, emphasizing the principle of 'comprehensive diplomacy.' Lin will lead a delegation of industry representatives to Texas on the 6th to attend an AI forum on the 9th, aiming to establish an AI supply chain cluster in collaboration with the Texas government.

Lin pointed out Taiwan's strengths in AI chips and servers and aims to leverage these advantages to enhance Taiwan-US economic cooperation. He highlighted Texas as a key hub for AI industry development and plans to create an AI-focused collaboration platform while facilitating exchanges between industry, government, and academia.

The US's $500 billion major project, Stargate, will position Texas as an AI base, attracting investments from Taiwanese EMS manufacturers such as Foxconn. Lin emphasized the importance of bi-directional investment opportunities between Taiwan and the US while seeking to advance innovation in Taiwanese industries.
