Four Students from Dong Chuan Electrical Engineering Program Awarded Taipower Scholarships

In the 113th academic year Taipower vocational scholarship selection, four students from the Electrical Engineering program at National Taitung University were awarded scholarships. Each student receives NT$40,000 in scholarship money and has the opportunity to become a full-time employee of Taipower after training. This demonstrates the combination of theoretical knowledge and practical application, contributing to society.

The four awarded students are Hsu Yu-Cheng, Hsu Tzu-Chieh, Hong Chien-En, and Chang Po-Yuan. Hsu Yu-Cheng, graduating from Baosang Junior High School, has been dedicated to his studies during his three years in vocational school, consistently ranking first in his class. He ultimately became the top candidate in Taitung County, earning the Taipower scholarship as a result of his hard work.

Another awarded student, Hsu Tzu-Chieh, graduated from Dulan Junior High School and participated in skill classes at Dong Chuan starting in the ninth grade, which ignited his passion for hands-on experiences, leading him to choose Electrical Engineering. Hong Chien-En, from a farming family, recognized the hardships of agriculture and was encouraged to pursue a career in Electrical Engineering to acquire a skill. Initially considering continuing his studies, he later decided to apply for the Taipower scholarship and successfully secured a spot.

Chang Po-Yuan, also from a farming background, was motivated to study Electrical Engineering by his parents' encouragement. He worked diligently throughout high school and successfully met the Taipower scholarship qualifications. The homeroom teacher, Liu Fu-Jen, expressed his pride in the students' dedication and wished them success in their future training at Taipower.
