International Oil Prices Decline, Gasoline and Diesel Expected to Drop Next Week

The global economy is facing recession concerns due to U.S. tariff policies, and OPEC+ is gradually increasing production, leading to a decline in international oil prices. It is estimated that starting from midnight on the 5th, domestic gasoline prices will drop by NT$0.7 to NT$0.8 per liter, while diesel will decrease by NT$1.0 to NT$1.1 per liter.
As of May 2, the floating oil price adjustment indicator has a weekly average of US$64.39, down US$3.68 from last week’s US$68.07. This week’s exchange rate for the New Taiwan Dollar against the U.S. Dollar is NT$32.237, appreciating by NT$0.264 compared to last week’s NT$32.501.
Without considering the minimum prices and stability measures of neighboring Asian countries, the estimated retail prices for next week are as follows: NT$27.6 to NT$27.5 for 92 unleaded gasoline, NT$29.1 to NT$29 for 95 unleaded gasoline, NT$31.1 to NT$31 for 98 unleaded gasoline, and NT$26.1 to NT$26 for super diesel. CPC Taiwan will officially announce the actual adjustment amounts at noon on the 4th.
