New Graduates' Salary Statistics Revealed: Average Monthly Salary of 37,000, Manufacturing Industry Dominates

The Ministry of Labor released salary statistics for new graduates ahead of Labor Day, showing an average starting salary of 37,000, reflecting a 6.4% annual increase.
According to the latest statistics, only 18.7% of new graduates earn the minimum wage of 27,470, marking the first time since 2021 that this figure has fallen below 20%. The median salary is reported at 33,000, with university graduates averaging 34,000 and those with advanced degrees at 52,000.
In terms of employment sectors, 19.6% of new graduates work in manufacturing, 17% in wholesale and retail, followed by 11.7% in healthcare and social services.
Furthermore, the average salary for female new graduates is reported at 36,000, which is 91.3% of the average for male graduates at 39,000. The overall gender pay gap is 8.7%, with manufacturing demonstrating a larger gap of 10.4%.
