Taiwan Mobile Posts Record Revenue, Yet Institutional Investors Continue to Sell
The Taiwan stock market closed today (29th) at 20,232.63 points, up 198.22 points or 0.99%, with a transaction amount of NT$239.18 billion. According to the Taiwan Stock Exchange's after-hours data, the three major institutional investors showed a net buy of NT$9.293 billion today, with mutual funds net buying NT$2.35 billion.
Taiwan Mobile (3045) announced its revenue for last year on the 28th, reaching NT$199.37 billion, a historical high, and earnings per share (EPS) of NT$4.57, the best in six years, with a proposed cash dividend of NT$4.1111. However, despite the revenue growth, institutional investors sold 1,549 shares today, amounting to NT$175 million, marking the third consecutive day of selling.
Additionally, Taiwan Mobile plans to hold a shareholders' meeting on May 29, where it will pass its dividend policy and propose the addition of a 'renewable energy sales business' to expand its market layout in renewable energy.
