The "median" salary for new graduates is 33,000 TWD, with a salary of 33,000 TWD for university and college graduates, and 49,000 TWD for those with master's degrees. However, there are significant salary variations across different industries, so it is important not to choose the wrong field.

According to the Ministry of Labor, the average salary for new university graduates in the healthcare and social work services industry is the highest at 40,000 TWD. For master's graduates, the highest average salary is in the publishing, audiovisual, and ICT sector at 59,000 TWD. For the main employment industries of new graduates in 113, the average salary for university graduates is the highest in healthcare and social work services at 40,000 TWD, followed by education at 39,000 TWD, and finance and insurance at 38,000 TWD. In the case of master's graduates, the publishing, audiovisual, and ICT sector again lead with an average salary of 59,000 TWD, while manufacturing follows at 58,000 TWD. Compared to the previous year, university graduates in the education sector saw an increase of 5.6%, about 2,000 TWD more, and the construction industry also saw a similar hike of 5.6%, about 1,000 TWD. For master's graduates, the accommodation and food services industry increased by 7.5%, about 3,000 TWD more, while the sciences, mathematics, and statistics field rose by 6%, also around 3,000 TWD.

The Ministry of Labor stated that this survey aims to understand the salary levels of "new entrants to the workforce" and is based on big data from various sources including high school and above graduates and labor pension contributions.
