Tongka-KY Reports Record Quarterly Net Profit, EPS Reaches 2.5 NTD

Tongka Holdings (Tongka-KY, 5225), the world’s largest ODM manufacturer of audio speaker systems, announced a record net profit of NT$193,246 thousand for the first quarter of 2025, representing a 4.7% increase compared to the same period last year. As the number of weighted average shares outstanding increased by 3,981 thousand shares, EPS diluted to 2.5 NTD, marking the second-highest level of the same period historically.
In the first quarter of 2025, operating revenue reached NT$2,691,775 thousand, with a gross margin of 15.1%. The operations of the first quarter were not adversely affected by equal tariffs, aligning with the growth trajectory established last year. The company maintains a robust operational structure with zero borrowing aside from accounts payable. Despite the impact of tariffs, the company issued cash dividends on the 22nd of this month.
However, due to the ever-changing tariff policies under Trump, brand clients remain cautious, waiting for clear regulations. With the seasonal downturn in shipments, it is expected that production schedules will be adjusted starting in Q2. The previously proposed second factory in Vietnam is under reassessment for a potential setup in Malaysia or other locations, and growth momentum remains strong. The company will adapt to changes while assessing its capacity and human resources, simulating various countermeasures.
