Tariff Easing Boosts Oil Prices, No Change in Gasoline, Diesel Up by $0.2

Taiwan's CPC Corporation announced that effective from midnight on the 28th, gasoline prices will remain unchanged while diesel prices will increase by $0.2.
The reference retail prices are:
- 92 octane unleaded gasoline: NT$28.3 per liter
- 95 octane unleaded gasoline: NT$29.8 per liter
- 98 octane unleaded gasoline: NT$31.8 per liter
- Super diesel: NT$27.1 per liter
The CPC indicated that international oil prices have risen due to signs of easing U.S. tariffs on major countries. Following the oil price adjustment principles, the average price increased by $1.04, while the exchange rate of the New Taiwan Dollar against the U.S. Dollar appreciated by $0.036. Although the floating oil price mechanism indicates a $0.2 increase for both gasoline and diesel, gasoline prices were kept stable to remain below those of neighboring Asian countries, with diesel experiencing the $0.2 increase.
As of the end of March this year, CPC has absorbed approximately NT$3.561 billion in costs.
