Taiwan Stocks Surge 552 Points as Foreign Investors Pour in 38.7 Billion on Five Key Stocks

The Taiwan stock market surged by 552 points today, closing at 20,787 points, reflecting a 2.73% rise. Trading volume reached NT$326.6 billion, marking a recent spike.
Foreign investment totaled NT$38.7 billion, concentrated on financial and blue-chip stocks. CTBC Financial (2891) topped the buying list with 49,679 shares bought, rising 2.42% to NT$40.25. Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (2330) attracted 25,712 shares, closing at NT$950 with a 4.63% increase.
Additionally, Hon Hai Precision Industry (2317) and AU Optronics (2409) also saw significant purchases, while some stocks like Taishin Financial (2887) and Yuanta Financial (2885) faced selling pressure from foreign investors. Investors are advised to remain cautious of market fluctuations and the risks of chasing highs.
