Gasoline Prices Remain Unchanged, Diesel Increases by 0.2 Yuan

CPC Corporation announced that effective from midnight on the 28th, gasoline prices will remain unchanged while diesel prices will rise by 0.2 Yuan. The reference retail prices are 28.3 Yuan per liter for 92 octane unleaded gasoline, 29.8 Yuan for 95 octane unleaded gasoline, 31.8 Yuan for 98 octane unleaded gasoline, and 27.1 Yuan for super diesel.

CPC stated that this week, signs of relief regarding the U.S. imposing high tariffs on major countries have affected the rise in international oil prices. According to the floating oil price adjustment principle, the 7D3B weekly average price increased by 1.04 USD, and the NTD appreciated by 0.036 against the USD, an increase of 1.15%.

Therefore, based on the floating oil price mechanism, gasoline and diesel prices should each increase by 0.2 Yuan per liter. However, to keep prices lower than those in nearby Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore), CPC absorbed the 0.2 Yuan increase in gasoline prices. After calculations, the price of 95 octane unleaded gasoline remains under 30 Yuan, which doesn't reach the threshold for activating stabilization measures; thus, domestic gasoline prices are unchanged, and diesel prices increase by 0.2 Yuan per liter.
