International Oil Prices Rise, Diesel Prices Increase by 0.2 Yuan Starting Tomorrow

Taiwan's CPC Corporation announced that starting from midnight tomorrow (28th), gasoline prices will remain unchanged while diesel prices will increase by 0.2 Yuan. The reference retail prices are 28.3 Yuan for 92 unleaded gasoline, 29.8 Yuan for 95 unleaded gasoline, 31.8 Yuan for 98 unleaded gasoline, and 27.1 Yuan for super diesel.
This week's rise in international oil prices was influenced by signs of a softening in the United States' proposed high tariffs on major countries. According to the price adjustment principles, the weekly average price of the 7D3B indicator has increased by 1.04 USD, with the New Taiwan Dollar appreciating against the US Dollar by 0.036 Yuan, resulting in an increase of 1.15%.
According to the floating oil price adjustment mechanism, both gasoline and diesel should be increased by 0.2 Yuan per liter. However, in order to maintain prices below those of neighboring Asian countries (Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore), the price of gasoline will be absorbed by 0.2 Yuan. Consequently, the price of 95 unleaded gasoline will remain below 30 Yuan, and the price of diesel will increase by 0.2 Yuan.
This week, domestic oil prices have also been adjusted in accordance with the oil price formula and the government's reduction in commodity tax (2 Yuan for gasoline and 1.5 Yuan for diesel per liter), continuing to operate with the minimum price in neighboring countries to stabilize domestic oil prices.
