Taiwan's Stock Market Declines 0.68% Last Week, Best Performer in Electronics Distribution, Worst in Semiconductors

According to statistics from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the stock market fell by 133.74 points last week, a decrease of about 0.68%. Among the industry indices, the electronics distribution sector gained 6.03%, marking the highest increase, while the semiconductor sector faced the largest decline at 3.36%.

This week, the total transaction amount in the concentrated trading market reached NT$15,348.00 billion, with the total trading volume of listed stocks amounting to NT$13,858.48 billion and a turnover rate of 1.84%. In terms of trading performance among various industries, the semiconductor sector topped the list with a transaction amount of NT$4,227.53 billion, accounting for 30.51% of the total trading amount.

As of the end of March, domestic listed companies reported cumulative revenues of approximately NT$11.22 trillion, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 17.32% and indicating robust operating performance among Taiwan's listed companies, providing a favorable fundamental backdrop for a potential market rebound this week.
