The weighted index closed at 22,072.95 points, gaining over 400 points in a week, while the Taiwan 50 index recorded an impressive gain of 2.71%, demonstrating strong bullish sentiment in the market. According to the latest statistics from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, as of June 13, 114, the weighted stock price index closed at 22,072.95 points, rising 412.29 points from the previous week (June 6), with a growth rate of 1.90%. The total market capitalization surpassed NT$71 trillion for the first time this week, reaching NT$71.689 trillion, with an increase of over NT$1.35 trillion in a week, reflecting solid market confidence and continued capital inflow.
In terms of major indices, the Taiwan 50 index closed at 18,768.74 points this week, climbing 495.40 points, a growth rate of 2.71%; while the Pfuleng index reached 24,822.12 points, showing a rise of 1.89%.
Sector performance was mixed, with energy and gas indices showing the strongest performance, rising 4.07% for the week, while the rubber sector became the biggest loser, falling 8.61%. Excluding financial and electronic sectors, the indices rose 2.02% and 0.17%, respectively, with the index excluding both financial and electronic sectors slightly dropping by 0.32%.
This week, the total trading volume in the concentrated market reached NT$1.8449 trillion, with the total trading volume of listed stocks at NT$1.7054 trillion and a turnover rate of 2.15%. The semiconductor sector continued to lead the charge with a transaction value of NT$476.549 billion, accounting for 27.94% of the total trading volume. Since the beginning of the year, there have been a total of 105 trading days, with the cumulative trading volume reaching NT$36.4239 trillion, averaging NT$346.895 billion per day.
