Jensen Huang: NVIDIA Will Exclude China Market from Future Financial Forecasts

Jensen Huang, CEO of the global chip giant NVIDIA, stated on the 12th that due to recent strengthened chip export controls by the U.S., the revenue and profit estimates for NVIDIA will completely exclude contributions from the Chinese market. He expressed that he does not hold expectations for the U.S. to lift export restrictions.
During an interview in Paris with CNN, Huang mentioned that while lifting the chip ban by the U.S. would be significantly beneficial, he has informed all investors and shareholders that future forecasts will not account for the Chinese market. Huang also criticized U.S. chip export policies, arguing the targets are vague and "clearly ineffective," emphasizing that policies should be clear and reviewed regularly.
CNN noted that in recent years, the U.S. government has increased efforts to limit China's access to American chip technology, aiming to prevent Beijing from leveraging U.S. innovations to enhance its military and AI capabilities.
Despite this, NVIDIA anticipates a 69% year-on-year revenue increase for Q1 2025, far exceeding Wall Street expectations. However, in April this year, the U.S. government implemented new rules preventing NVIDIA from selling its H20 chip designed for China, resulting in an additional loss of $2.5 billion in revenue for the company.
