Cathay Securities reported that its discretionary trading volume exceeded NT$620 billion in the first four months of this year, marking a significant increase of nearly 60% compared to the same period last year, maintaining a market share of 21%, setting a new record as the market leader for nine consecutive years since 2016.

According to Cathay Securities, the number of investors subscribing to regular dollar-cost averaging for US stocks has been steadily increasing, with a market share of 41% for subscription amounts. Among the top ten hottest picks, six are ETFs; the top three ETFs include VOO, which tracks the S&P 500 index, QQQ, which tracks the Nasdaq 100 index, focusing on the largest non-financial companies within the US, and VT, which encompasses global developed and emerging markets stock indices.

Cathay Securities observed a significant increase in retail investor participation and funding momentum in the international market, driven by the convenience of digital trading platforms and the booming interest in US stocks. By utilizing discretionary trading, investors can allocate into global stocks, ETFs, and bonds, effectively managing international market opportunities and reducing single-market risks.
