Tariffs and Technology Restructuring: AI Talent Emerges as the Biggest Beneficiary

In the face of tariff policies and the AI wave, job openings related to AI are experiencing growth against the trend. According to a survey by 1111 Job Bank, nearly 78% of respondents expressed concerns about the economic impact of U.S. tariffs on Taiwan, prompting approximately 20% of employees to seek part-time jobs or consider further education to enhance their competitiveness.
While the overall job market appears conservative due to tariff policies, opportunities in the AI sector have surged to 14,000, which is over an 11% increase compared to the previous year. This has led to a growing demand for AI talent across various industries, establishing it as a key strategy for companies facing rapid market changes.
