In related news, Trump recently expressed dissatisfaction over China's violation of the preliminary agreement reached in Switzerland and plans to raise import tariffs on steel and aluminum from 25% to 50% starting from the 4th, leading to new trade uncertainties. Investors are holding a wait-and-see attitude, allowing Wall Street to recover on the 2nd.

US Treasury Secretary Benson stated that Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping would be speaking soon to ease tensions surrounding critical mineral resources, as China indeed withheld rare earths agreed to be released in the Geneva agreement.
