Key Points to Note Before Monday's Taiwan Stock Market Opening and 11 Financial Stocks to Watch

This week, market focus is on NVIDIA's earnings report alongside technology and financial themes. On Friday (the 23rd), the Taiwanese stock index fell slightly by 18.72 points to settle at 21,652.24 points, reflecting the influence of U.S. stocks on a volatile market. Despite support from the Computex event last week, it halted a five-week increase.

Authorities noted that foreign investors have been net buyers for five consecutive weeks, totaling NT$219.45 billion, while local institutions have also replenished NT$166.18 billion. Meanwhile, self-operating investors shifted to selling, offloading roughly NT$103.96 billion, leading to a total net replenishment of NT$281.68 billion by the three main entities.

PGIM's fund manager, Liao Bing-Huan, pointed out that market sentiment is starting to improve, though concerns over U.S. debt stemming from Trump's tax cuts remain. With NVIDIA's earnings due soon, expectations are high on the impact of AI and robotics integration.

He recommends that investors monitor the changes in corporate earnings and economic fundamentals, and prioritize investments in technology stocks, particularly in semiconductors, Edge AI, and optoelectronics. Huanan Yungchang Securities also lists 10 notable robot stocks and several financial stocks for consideration.
