In response to the growing demand for AI talent in the service industry, the Ministry of Economic Affairs' Business Development Authority held a press conference today (6th) to promote the "AI Talent Training for Business Services Sector." The aim is to assist companies in cultivating the necessary talent for AI applications. Director Su Wen-ling stated that the training will adopt various methods such as live online sessions, digital learning, and hands-on practice, ensuring effective learning outcomes through assessments before and after the training, allowing students to apply their knowledge immediately in the workplace.

The program will also provide customized enterprise classes tailored to the specific AI training needs of businesses, enhancing employees' skills in AI technology applications. Recent data indicates a significant increase in the demand for AI talent in the service industry, with an average recruitment of over 9,600 individuals per quarter. The Business Development Authority held presentation sessions across Taiwan from March to April, where businesses expressed an urgent need for AI talent in operations decision-making, customer service, marketing, and product planning.

The Authority noted that the AI talent training will be designed to meet diverse learning pathways according to different job levels and industry needs. The content includes: 1. CEO Classes: aimed at mid to senior executives to cultivate AI operational decision-making and digital transformation leadership; 2. Customized Enterprise Classes: designed to fit specific corporate requirements for internal AI talent development; 3. Foundation Practical Classes: aimed at entry-level employees to teach AI basics and general tool applications; 4. Practical Application Classes: designed for different job roles such as customer service, marketing, and product planning, enhancing practical application skills through case studies; 5. AI Implementation Workshops: focusing on information management personnel to assist businesses in deploying AI systems.

During today's event, business owners and participants shared their experiences and insights on AI implementation, reflecting how AI applications improved workforce efficiency, created new business opportunities, and enhanced operational effectiveness. The training program is organized by the Industrial Technology Research Institute, which analyzed a vast amount of job market data to identify key foundational skills needed for AI roles. The courses also incorporate public tools and practical content, encouraging students to take certification exams upon completion to ensure continued competitiveness in the era of AI.
