Today (5/5), the New Taiwan Dollar continued its upward momentum from last week, reaching the 20s in early trading. This surge has left exporters worried about diminishing profits as the currency appreciates. Moreover, analysts predict that the strengthening of the NT Dollar may significantly raise the difficulty for TSMC to meet its dollar-denominated financial projections for Q2, as a 1% appreciation would lower TSMC's operating profit margin by 0.4 percentage points.
