00878 Cuts Dividend for Two Consecutive Quarters! Foreign Investors Sell 15,000 Shares This Week

According to FTNN News Network, the Taiwan Weighted Index rose by 914.91 points during the trading week from April 28 to May 2, achieving a gain of 4.6%. However, the Cathay Sustainable High Dividend ETF (00878) faced continuous sell-offs from foreign investors, who sold 15,000 shares, leading to a loss of NT$327 million.
This week, 00878 announced a quarterly dividend of NT$0.47, expected to go ex-dividend on May 19 and be credited on June 13. This marks the second consecutive quarter of reduced dividends, with the first quarter of 2023 at NT$0.50 and last year's four distributions recorded at NT$0.55, NT$0.55, NT$0.51, and NT$0.40.
Notably, the three major institutional investors saw a total net purchase of NT$45.715 billion this week, with foreign investors buying NT$434.078 billion and selling NT$381.714 billion, resulting in a net buy of NT$52.364 billion. Among the ETFs that faced sales from foreign investors, 00878 ranked third.
