CPC Announces No Gas Price Change, Diesel Price Increase Starting April 28

CPC Corporation Taiwan announced that starting tomorrow (April 28) at 12 AM, the gas prices will remain unchanged, while the diesel price will increase by NT$0.2.

The retail prices are set as follows: NT$28.3 per liter for 92 unleaded gasoline, NT$29.8 per liter for 95 unleaded gasoline, NT$31.8 per liter for 98 unleaded gasoline, and NT$27.1 per liter for super diesel.

The company stated that this week, the international oil prices rose due to signs of easing U.S. tariffs on major countries. Following the fluctuating oil price adjustment principles, the average price rise indicated that gasoline and diesel should each be raised by NT$0.2. In order to keep prices lower than neighboring Asian countries, CPC absorbed this cost, resulting in the 95 unleaded gasoline remaining below NT$30, thus not triggering the stabilization measures. As a result, domestic gasoline prices will not be adjusted, while diesel prices will see a real increase of NT$0.2 per liter.

This week, in line with the oil price formula and the government's reduction of commodity taxes, gasoline and diesel prices were adjusted by NT$2 and NT$1.5 respectively, contributing to the stabilization of domestic oil prices. As of the end of March, CPC had absorbed costs totaling approximately NT$3.561 billion.

Actual retail prices will be based on announcements at each business location. For further oil price information, please refer to the Global Information Network.
