This Week's Weighted Stock Price Index Rises by 2.46%, Total Market Value of Listed Stocks Reaches NT$63.93 Trillion

According to statistics from the Taiwan Stock Exchange, the weighted stock price index closed at 19,872.73 points on April 25, 114, up 477.70 points from 19,395.03 points on April 18, reflecting an increase of approximately 2.46%. The Taiwan 50 index closed at 16,611.76 points, an increase of 499.40 points from 16,112.36 points last week, marking a rise of around 3.10%. The Taitung stock price index also saw a rise, closing at 22,422.40 points, up 535.37 points, which is an increase of around 2.45%.

By sector, the information service sector recorded the highest gain of 5.54%, while the oil and gas sector saw the largest decline of 1.99%. The index excluding finance rose by 460.33 points, representing an approximate increase of 2.75%, while the index excluding electronics rose by 41.61 points, up about 0.24%, and the index excluding financial electronics increased by 27.51 points, or about 0.21%.

This week, the total trading amount in the集中交易市場was NT$1.28169 trillion, with total trades of listed stocks amounting to NT$1.153454 trillion and a stock trading volume turnover rate of 1.63%. The top three sectors by trading amount were: first, semiconductors at NT$395.815 billion, accounting for 34.32% of the overall trading amount; second, computers and peripherals at NT$129.505 billion, making up 11.23%; third, electronic components at NT$119.724 billion, comprising 10.38%.

As of April 25, the total market value of all listed companies reached NT$63.929114 trillion, up NT$1.528458 trillion from NT$62.400656 trillion last week, corresponding to an increase of about 2.45%.
