Consequently, on Wednesday, the Dow Jones surged by nearly 1,000 points, with U.S. stocks closing higher across the board.
Today (24th), Taiwan's stock market opened up 113.45 points at 19,752.59 but soon turned bearish. Eventually, the index fell by 160.33 points to close at 19,478.81, a decline of 0.82%, with a trading volume of NT$ 2,411.23 billion.
