KaiRay Optoelectronics' Lin Chuan-Kai Responds to Tariff Challenges by Establishing Bases in Mexico and Canada

Lin Chuan-Kai, the chairman of KaiRay Optoelectronics, stated that the company is considering establishing bases in Mexico and Canada to respond to the impact of U.S. tariff policies on the automotive industry. He noted that the goal is to increase Tier 1 customers over the next three to four years and to become a direct supplier to automotive manufacturers.

KaiRay specializes in automotive interior electronic components and rear-seat entertainment systems, collaborating with renowned automakers such as Lamborghini and Bentley. Despite the heavy tariffs imposed by the U.S., KaiRay has already established a company and warehouse in the country to mitigate supply chain risks.

Lin expressed confidence in the company's future development, expecting to add three new customers in the U.S. and a major order in the European market, while actively expanding its operations in Japan.
